Ge METRO PROBE N40565.01 0007-SWP-005501267 CONFIDENTIAL CONFIDENTIAL INVESTIGATION REDACTED Continued N40565.02 August, 1984 0007-SWP-005501268 CONFIDENTIAL Per the request of the client, Raymond Sheakley & Associates, Metro Probe was retained to continue with Investigative efforts on one, DTrrr. a In particular, Metro Probe was instructed to do the following: I) Determine if the subject still maintains residence at 118 Dawn Avenue in Rockford, and 2) Observe and photograph the subject while smoking a cigarette. The results of Metro Probe's endeavors are outlined herein. REDACTED On August 15, 1984, Metro Probe Investigator J initiated a surveillance at 6:30 p.m. on the residence of " Upon arrival, it was immed iately noted that the subject's white Thunderbird was present in the driveway behind the brown pop-up trailer. Nevertheless, activity in the area was non existent at this time. Therefore, Investigator J assumed a suitable vantage point awaiting observation of the subject. REDACTED At 6:45 p.u.- attired in a pastel multi-colored shirt, emerged from the residence and departed in his Thunderbird, and was followed by In vestigator J to a "Site" Gas Station on Alpine Road approximately one block south of Rt. 20. Shortly thereafter, after pumping gasoline into his vehicle, departed the station and travelled south to Harrison Street, ultimately REDACTED arriving at and entering a large unidentified building on Christina Avenue. Adjacent to the rear of this building was a school bus yard. Unfortunately, however, the nature of the subject's visit could not be discerned. Kr.Er.Dr.Ai C1ED remained in this building until 8:45 p.m. when he and many other adult individuals departed, entered their vehicles and vacated the area. In vestigator J terminated the surveillance at this time, due to darkness. Spec ifically, if was to have been observed smoking a cigarette, photographing the activity would have been done to no avail. REDACTED 0007-SWP-005501269 CONFIDENTIAL On August 16, 1984, Metro Probe Investigator J returned to the REDACTED residence of 118 Dawn Avenue in Rockford at 7:00 a.m. Upon arrival, it was observed that the subject's white Thunderbird (bearing Illinois plates CY 9643) was parked in the driveway behind the brown pop-up camper. At 7:12 a.m., Investigator J witnessed the movement of an individual asleep in the back window of the camper. This same activity occurred at 7:30 a.m. and again at 8:00 a.m. At 8:15 a.m., a young boy approximately 10 years old exited the camper enveloped in a blanket, and entered the house. At 8:30 a.m., this same boy, bare chested and attired in red shorts, exited the house and entered the camper. Shortly thereafter, a female individual (attired in a white shirt and white shorts) exited the camper and proceeded indoors. The young boy once again at 8:35 a.m., exited the house momentarily and-returned inside. At 8:45 a.m., the boy departed the home. Coincidingly, another boy, approximately the same age with blond hair and dressed in blue shorts, emerged from the camper and the two chidren entered the house. At 8:50 a.r.n, the subject departed the residence and crossed the street on foot, proceeding out of the Investigator's view. Assuming rould JJEDA.CTEJ return shortly. Investigator J'remained in a stationary position. At 8:55 a.m. the subject's wife exited the residence and entered the White Thunderbird. At 9:20 a.m., with not yet having returned. Investigator J attempted to locate him. in the direction he was last observed heading. was then found at REDACTED "Stash O'Neils" Restaurant, located on the next block east of the subject's residence. Upon the Invct- -:.igr '.or ` u r rriw.i, was observed entering his vehicle with his wife, who was seated on the passenger side. At 9:25 a.m., ! they departed the parking lot of this concern and were followed to "Union Hall" 0007-SWP-005501270 CONFIDENTIAL REDACTED Department store located on Rt. 20 approximately one mile west of the subject's residence. exited the car and entered the department store, while the subject withdrew from the parking lot via his vehicle. proceeded into Rockford's downtown area where Investigator J lost site of him in the vicinity of*Church and Main Street. An attempt was made to locate the subject's vehicle, however, with no success in doing so. Investigator J returned to the residence at 10:30 a.n. The white Thunderbird was not present at this time and no activity was noted on the premises. At 11:22 a.m., . arrived home and was observed exiting his Thunderbird, carrying two styrofoam cups of coffee into the house. REDACTED was not again seen until 11:50 a.m., when he departed his residence with an unidentified male approximately 20 years of age with long black hair. It was at this time tha: was observed smoking a cigarette while entering his vehicle. The two were then followed to a McDonald's Restaurant on Alpine Road and Turner Street. Before entering the fast food establishment, was greeted by two young boys (one of which was believed to be his son), and the four individuals entered the restaurant. It should be noted that Investigator J refrained from following the subject Inside for fear of being detected. At 12:30 p.m., the four individuals exited the restaurant with the two boys leaving on foot. who was again smoking a cigarette, along with his. friend, departed in the white Thunderbird. ROTS: Photographs of the subject at this particular time could not be taken at had--to pass directly in front of the Investigator while exiting the restaurant. At 12:33 p.m..
