I am reaching out on behalf of the dairy industry to request a meeting with Administrator Pruitt to bring in Newtrient and top dairy industry leaders, including the dairy industry associations to discuss how they can work with EPA to advance their private/public solutions to these environmental issues. My client, Newtrient is the entity set up by the dairy industry and the dairy check-off program to address their environmental waste issues by advancing manure management, the marketplace, and advancing the adoption of environmental asset markets for voluntary pollution prevention services. Newtrient has been a supporter and significant influencer in EPA's Nutrient Recycling Challenge. Leaders of the dairy industry all serve on his board and direct activities. Newtrient"s board represents 50+% of the country"s milk supply (20,000 dairy farms). The board includes Dairy Farmers of America, Land O'Lakes, Select Milk, United Dairy Men, Darigold, Agri-Mark and more. It represents farms of ail sizes. Plus, the DMI, the dairy checkoff and the industry trade association. National Milk Producers Association also serve. I have attached a brief one-pager for your review.
