FOR PROPER CONTAINMENT OF SPENT FILTER ELEMENTS, THE SPENT FILTER ELEMENT MUST BE PLACED IN A BLUE DRUM LOCATED IN THE PROPER SATELLITE AREA. a. The drum must be labeled as to its contents and labeled "HAZARDOUS WASTE". b. The metal ciarnp on the drum must be closed and wired shut after dumping the filter element. -------- --------------- k. ONCE THE DRUM IS FULL, A "Hazardous Waste" STICKER MUST BE PLACED ON THE BLUE DRUM. a. The contents of the drum and unit identification must be written on the corner of the sticker. b. The proper D.O.T. shipping name-- Waste Flammable Liquid, n.o.s., Flammable Liquid, UN 1993, RQ (ETHYLENE DICHLORIDE, 1,1,2- TRICHLOROETHANE) --must be written on the sticker. c. The EPA Waste Numbers F025 and (D001, D007, D008, D028, D039) must be written on the sticker. d. The accumulation start date must be written onthesticker. 5. A "FLAMMABLE LIQUID" STICKER MUST BE PLACED ON THE DRUM OR STENCILED ON THE DRUM WHEN ACCUMULATION j | STARTS. i 6. THE TE II MAINTENANCE FOREMAN MUST BE CONTACTED SO THAT THE DRUM CAN BE REMOVED. a. The drum must be removed from the area within 3 days after the accumulation start date. b. When a drum becomes full and is labeled with an accumulation start date, a second drum may be used to collect waste at the same location.
