XaGattuta General Headquarters Boveaber 9, 1949 Produet Proposal Research 348, Supplement 1 Change in Grade of Blew Asbestos Ribre for Style 83--S Sheet STATEMEHT OF AGREEMENT - The adoption of Blue Asbestos Fibre, obtainable froa the Asbestos Corporation of America, as the standard grade la the manufacture of Style 83-3 sheet packing at Kanville has been approved. The fibre is described in Research Report 457-441, which contains the specifications for the screen analysis, etc. This is the sane fibre as used in our Style 84-S sheet from Waukegan. The reduction in tensile requirements for the 83-S sheet packing from 2,000 to 1,400 pouais per square inch longitudinal, ad from 600 to 500 psi transTerse, has also been approved. . The approved grade is the cdy suitable fibre known to be available, as the procurement situation on Blue Fibre of suitable charaderigtics for use in this product is tight.
