A XEH03, Dear Dr. Kehoe, During the time that I talked "with the officials ofj. the Orange State Oil Company and the representative of! the Maryland Casualty Company in Miami the early part of tils week, Mr. Kille of the insurance com pany asked me whom he should contact in our organiza tion in the event that his people felt there was a joint legal responsibility between his company and ours in the death of Hubbard* because of the fact that vie introduced the tetraethyl lead into the tank at Tampa. I advised him that I did not know and suggested that he would best write to you to deter mine this. Since then, I received the attached letter from Mr* Van Brunt, copy of which went to Mr. Hilie, asking for the date when John Murphey spiked the taink in question. I have advised Mr, Van- Brunt that this occurred in January of 1934, which information yciu will remember was contained in your report. il am mentioning this to you and am attaching the letter in order that you will be informed beforehand of what the insurance company is thinking about.
