ETHYL CORPORATION INTER-OFFICE CORRESPONDENCE TO FROM subject William E. Rinehart, Sc. D. J. G. Burdick, M.D. Cutting of Asbestos Insulation ADDRESS New Orleans ADDRESS Houston DATE August 29, 1968 Mr. Lowe tells me that the total time spent cutting insulation with power saws at this plant will probably average two man days a month in the shop (mostly on the band saw) and one day a month in the field (on the job site). This is an approximate average. During some months the time spent may be four or five man days and during other months, no cutting will be done. The present plan is that cutting asbestos insulation with power saws will not be resumed until we get some opinion from you as to the potential for harm. JGBtW M^D. ETH 000004
