Dear Dr. Shell: I send you herewith th^anal^lcal results on the urine and hlood of your patient, These results appear to be just a little odd in that the concen tration of lead in the urine is lover than that in the blood, this being the reverse of the usual situation. The lead concen tration in the blood is high enough to be suggestive of recent lead exposure, but it is by no means indicative of a necessarily hazardous exposure, and when it is considered in conjunction with the urinary concentration, it seems to me to have little signifi cance. This is especially true, since the sample of blood available for analysis in this case was quite small. If you have ihy reason to he concerned about this man, it might be vise to repeat the observations. However, from these results it would be my conclusion that the lead exposure here is of insignificant character. 3 send you herewith a bill to cover the cost of these analyses.
