Barnhart read the Cooaittee Report aa follows: A nine-year resume of mashers' industrial contract insulation ahlpments la presented with this cosnittee report. The Table presenting statistical reporting periods of member companies, submitted with the co&nlttee's report last fall, should also be consulted since several companies have with drawn from aambershlp during this nine-year period. Organic Cellular Insulations: Zh light of the growing acceptance of foaa insulations for contract applications, tha coealttee suggests that tha matter of including them in our statistical prograa bo again re viewed by the Board of Directors. Tiber Glass Statistics: Tiber Glass insulation industry shipments are partially represented in the trade statistics of three associations, but no all-encompassing statistical program exlsts--outside of the annual, census conducted by the U.S. Department of Coanerce. Since there is a naed for trada statistics, sad the four fiber glass aanufacturars are aaabars of ltZMA, we would welcome tha opportunity to develop a comprehensive statistical program for them, if so instructed by tha Board of Directors. A notion was made, seconded, sad unanimously passed That the RIMA Board of Directors request that a study of tha mineral fiber (fibrous glsss and mineral wool) Industry be undertaken by the United States ftibllc Health Sarvlca with respect to alleged health hazards. Tha 'scope of tha study to Includa environmental, clinical, and epidemiological investigations. The Board of Directors authorizes tbs Health and Safety Coonittee to proceed with the initiation of this study as soon as practical. A motion was made, seconded, and unanimously passed That the name of the Coonittee be changed to: Occupational, Health and Safety Coonittee. A motion was aade, seconded, and unanimously passed .. That the educational presaatatioo program to 1DCNA shall be the responsibility of the Occupational Health and Safety Committee. It was agreed that a follow up education program to OCHA was necessary.
