Springfield has suggested that the phenol content of the VCM be reduced from a range of 200 to 500 ppm down to a range of 40 to 100 ppm. If this change meets the approval of the Specification Committee, then Sales will contact Firestone about the acceptability of such a change. If all is then okay, the VCM-300 spec will be changed. Sales needs a specification on EDC, in order to offer our material to prospective customers. Bill Wiese says that our salable EDC product should be similar to those competively offered by Dow, Jefferson, and Carbide. A meeting of the Specification Carmnittee will be held to discuss these specs. Time is Friday, November 13, at 3:00 PM. Place is Mr. Schleicher's office.
