I am in the process of gauging interest in forming a panel to work on benzene as it relates to the impending Clean Air Act Residual Risk Rule. While there are efforts at both API and ACC on this topic at a high level, Shell believes that there is an opportunity to focus efforts on benzene. We would suggest using 8D and EO work as a model. I have made some preliminary inquiries at API regarding the Benzene Task Group being an umbrella group for the panel. However, there may also a way to set the panel up at ACC or I suppose that we could be totally independent. If you could respond with a general level of interest. I would envision an exploratory meeting that would not require any commitment to join sometime early 1005.
