Kehoe University of Cincinnati Cincinnati, Ohio .Dear Dr. Kehoe: One of our graduate students in the University of Colorado, a Kiss Leota Pekrul, has become very much interested in spectrographic analysis. She is now working in the Chemistry Department at Soulder under Professor Gustavson. Excellent spectrographic equipment is available in the university or can be procured. The university Medical School is located in Denver and our division has worked out an arrange ment with a storage battery manufacturing plant in this city. e are attempting to exercise control over the lead hazard in this battery, plant by all of the common procedures. Professor Gustavson and I would like very much to malee it possible for Miss Pekrul to utilize the university spectrographic equip ment in determining the lead output of the workmen employed in the battery plant under our supervision. Miss Pekrul plans to. spend the summer in the university of Ohio where.she will devote her attention to spectrographic analysis. I wonder if it might be possible for her to visit your laboratory sometime during this period in order for her to observe the techniques which you employ and to become acquainted with the outstanding authority in this particular field of research. I would certainly appreciate any suggestions which you may have to offer and will look forward to your reply with the greatest interest.
