Martino, president of National Lead Company, has been named a mem ber of the advisory committee of the Broad Street branch of the Chase National Bank ROWLEY GIVEN FAREWELL DINNER Superintendents anc foremen of the Chicago Branch were hosts recently at a farewell dinner for E. R. Rowley, who left as branch proauction manager to become company production manager. The banquet served also to introduce Casper Wickemeyer as new general super intendent of the Southern Works. Mr. 7/ickemeyer had been general superintendent of the Cincinnati Branch for 22 years. EXECUTIVE CHANGES IN TITANIUM PIGMENT CORPORATION W. H. Ffooas has been appointed eastern sales manager of the Titanium Pigment Corporation, effective April 1. The duties of eastern sales manager were for merly handlec by R. 3. Perry, Jr., assistant sales manager, who continues in the latter capacity. Mr. Wooes started with National Lead Company in the Atlantic Branch in 1930. He was transferred to the Titanium Division to become assistant credit manager in 1937 and was made credit manager in 1940. Joseph Stranaa has assumed the position of credit manager. He also con tinues as assistant to C. F. Garesche, general manager of the Titanium Livision. John Morris, formerly office manager of the Titanium Pigment Corporation, was appointed assistant credit manager. BAROID EXECUTIVE APPOINTMENTS John W. Hofstetter has been namea assistant general manager of the Baroid Sales Division, and Edward A. Kaiser comptroller, both appointments effective April 15. Mr. Hofstetter started with the Titanium Division in St. Louis in Decem ber 1923. fie later joined National Pigments and Chemical Corporation (now Baroid) where he was made secretary in 1934. His appointment as comptroller of Baroid came in 1936. He also has been serving as' assistant to the manager of , Baroid. Mr. Kaiser joined St. Louis Smelting and Refining Company in June 1926. He became an accountant at National Pigments and Chemical Corporation in 1934 and has been assistant comptroller at Baroid for a number of years. OBITUARIES Frank A. Gregory, assistant manager of Chicago Branch at the time of his retirement July 1, 1929 died March 17. He was 84. Mr. Gregory's long service with Chicago began in 1884 at the old Shipman White Lead Works. C. I. Hughes, who retired in April 1938 from St. Louis Branch, where he had been credit manager, died April 11 at age 90. Mr. Hughes' service began in February 1900 with the Hoyt Company in St. Louis. He was secretary-treasurer of this concern at the time of its merger with St. Louis in 1928. 0000-NLI-000024875
