Tom,
Just wanted to follow up and see if there are any of the projects that we discussed that you are aware of a U.S. Manufacturer that might be able to provide the components?
If you could get back to me this week I would greatly appreciate it.
Regards, Lee

Tom,
Per our conversation. I have been informed that the comment periods are technically closed on the vast majority of projects (tight statutorily required period) but we have always maintained a policy that EPA is open, at any time, to any information that an American product is available. So we are basically in a position that if any of your members or other members of the Buy America coalition can provide information that they can or do make the components in question we would be thrilled to be informed of that fact.
I would ask that your folks please review the projects expeditiously so

that we can move forward with decisions on the AIS waivers in a timely manner. This will allow for the expeditious procurement of the vast majority of these projects that are American made.
Regards, Lee

returned to government service and am the Deputy Assistant Administrator for Water At EPA. I would respectfully ask for your help. Per Administrator Pruitt's suggestion and as part of the Agency's due diligence, I am reaching out to you to determine if any members of your organization can provide American made products that would allow these projects to be completed without EPA having to issue a wavier under the American Iron and Steel provision of the 2014 Water Resources Development Act.
Given your experience with the Agency I am sure you can understand that we would ask for a timely review of the existing projects and an answer if your members are willing and able to provide the items necessary to complete these projects. Any assistance you and your organization might be willing to provide would be most appreciated.
I am attaching a list of projects and a general description of the item and its value for your review. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me on my EPA cell at !___ EEx._6____j
