E. Customer Relations
One bulk truck shipment of COP 314 was rejected by Kentile, Brooklyn for poor flow (pencil test). The truck was aired, sent back in several days later and accepted by them.
III. Major Projects/On-Going Program
A visit was made by R.A. Lojewski and H.R. Horton to CBS, Terre Haute to investigate differences in brookfield viscosity results between Tenneco and CBS. A report has been issued summarizing results of the visit.
Three compartments of one of the cars of Burlington 318-5 were rejected by CBS for high brookfields. Neither Burlington or Flemington Q.C. re sults on samples prior to shipment confirmed these high numbers. We are attempting to obtain the specific samples tested by CBS.
The Flemington melt indexer was sent to CSI for temperature profile check this report period. No problems were indicated by CSI.
