Intar Office Scientific Research Staff April 25, 1975 To: T. Cole A, E. Anderson*'^ cc: M, F. Valada Subject: Exposure of Brake Maintenance Shop Workers to Brake Dust (Reference: Letter R. L- Gealer, 4/14/75) I will not address the question of the advisabilitv of attending a collective industry meeting as suggested by Prof. Sellkoff since 1 expect D. A. Jensen (Automotive Emissions Office) will respond to this. If such a meeting Is to be attended, then I believe SRS should be represented. In such a case I would suggest that Roy Gealer attend Eor SRS, with Arne Anderson as the alternate. While I am not in favor of an industry meeting with Prof. Sellkoff, I feel that Ford should be Informed of his findings. Therefore, 1 recommend that ve invite him to SRS for discussions regarding the above subject, aa well as to^/a presentation of his research progress under the Ford Research Grant for the 1974-75 period. Affected Ford actl",i'ifls should attend these dismis sions. Your list of names for comments to Roy's letter appears Complete, excepc I would also include a representative from the appropriate Ford activity handling dealer recommended practices. C.E.O, might also be interested. Thi* letter also responds for A. E. Anderson and M. F. Valada whom you also asked for comments. John E.
