Dear Mr. Webb:
I am writing this letter to express my apprecia tion to your Company for the very helpful cooperation given
in connection with a case before the California Industrial Accident Commission involving an alleged poisoning from the
` iv of leaded gasoline. The case involved was that of Associated Oil Company (Tide Water Associated
01 i. Jompany).
was employed by this Company in
its testing laboratory at its Refinery at Avon, California.
In connection with his duties he handled samples of leaded
gasoline, particularly in connection with the running of
distillation tests. He suffered from symptoms which he
alleged were due to lead poisoning, and filed a claim
against us in the Industrial Accident Commission. In com
bating this claim, your Company cooperated beautifully,
and in that action Dr. Robert A. Kehoe appeared for us
through your efforts as a witness.
*
Subsequently N l r ^ H H P H E died and his widow filed another claim, alleging that his death was the result of lead poisoning. Again, your Company cooperated and through your efforts Dr* Kehoe spent a week here, assisting in the defense of the case and appearing as a witness*
Never in my experience have I found any man so expertly qualified in his line of work as is Dr, Kehoe in connection with the subject of lead poisoning. His thorough knowledge and agile mentality v/ere of great benefit to us in the defense of this case. He made a splendid witness and was of inestimable value to me as the attorney in charge of
defense of this claim.
I have sent Dr. Kehoe a complete transcript of the record in this case vihich I feel will be of value to him and to you in connection with any similar claims which may here after be made.
