RE: Draft Slides for Sept 2 presentation
Some additions: 1) minor embellishments - see brown color additions 2) time permitting addition of US Clean Air Act and Shanghai as examples. For both of these examples we could include similar EU initiatives (Butadiene OEL issue via CEFIC and Benzene CONCAWE work) .
Ralph and I will be discussing this tomorrow afternoon ( 1 pm Houston time)

Added a few points to the slides (in green) just for completion. I would suggest that we include one or two additional points: 1. Ecotoxicology. Currently no dedicated expert in Sciences group, but rely on contractual arrangements with 3rd

party expertise, and focal points within other part of the Shell organisation 2. Prepare for new regulation/legislation and mention REACH as an example somewhere in this presentation.

Draft Slides for Sept 2 presentation
As we discussed today, here is a draft of a presentation for Sam on 2nd Sept describing what Sciences [I call us Health Sciences now that ECO has departed, rather than toxicology] does. I lifted a lot of generic info out of the CF business plan. As you can see, it's rather thin on examples. Please send me any additional info. I expect Stuart and I will make this presentation. Thanks.

RE: Draft Slides for Sept 2 presentation
Would you likewise think there is need to highlight the EU BD OEL situation?

RE: Draft Slides for Sept 2 presentation
Ralph, Stu, Just seen one possible entry which I overlooked earlier. I have included in slide 8 the PO advocacy activity being pursued in the EU following the NL proposition to reduce the workplace exposure value to from 6 mg/m3 to 0.1 mg/m3. This is not based on available science, purely on the EU classification which is running at Carcinogen and mutagen. Cost of compliance would undoubtedly be high.
