Our interpretation of these data are that Lo little vapor inhalation hazard when these fluids aro handled in a closed oyoton or when handled at room temperature. Further, we do not believe that there is any acuto toxicity problem from an occasional exposure that night result when the fluids ore heated to 160F. Contin uous day in and day out exposure to the vapors evolved at this temperature would be undesirable. Tho Aroolors are not strong skin irritants. The local action on the skin is moro similar to that of a paint thinner or paint remover whord prolonged skin contact results in defatting or removing the natural olein surface ' : oils and fats from the skin. This obviously leads to . - drying and crocking* .. There lo no great hazard from the standpoint of olein absorption if there is occasional short term olein exposure as in the caso with inhalation. However, repeated and prolonged akin contact should be avoided to provent tho local action on the skin reforred to above and to eliminate the hazard of skin absorption, .
