It is smooth inside and out, easy to install and bends and flares readily. There is no thread cutting; it takes solder or compression type fittings. It is soft and flexible and when flared for compression fittings, it does not split on the ends. Both are manufactured in standard pipe sizes--hence can be used with standard threaded or silver brazed fittings.
