Re: Information on Perfluorooctane Sulfonate, Perfluorooctanoic Acid, and Related Compounds
Dear Mary:
`This continues 3M's voluntary data submissions on perfluorooctane sulfonate, perflurooctaonic acid, and related compounds. We are enclosing a compact disc (CD No.7) containing: (1) studies previously submitted between July 2004 and December 2005; and (2) 3M's comments submitted to the Science Advisory Board's Perfluorooctanoic Acid Human Health Risk Assessment Review Panel. These documents have already been submitted to the AR-226 Docket as paper copies. Asin our past submissions, we have organized the studies by chemical, and within the sections for each chemical, by end point or type of study. The CD is for read-only purposes and is not to be modified. 3M will maintain the originalCDcopy of these documents. As indicated in the note prefacing the CD, 3M's original CD will control in the event of any discrepancy. We have andor will submit copies of this CD to the environmental agencies of Belgium, the UK, Sweden, Japan, and Canada. `We will continue to provide information as it becomes available. We look forwardto our continuing dialogue with the agency. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
Very uly yours,
