Carver DATE SUBJECT July 25, 1984 Plant B Scrubber Vents The VDCM Plant Scrubber and the Per/Tri Still Line Scrubber Vents were sampled for chlorinated hydrocarbons as requested. The VDCM Plant Vent was sampled at 10:00 a.m. on 7-23-84. Operations were normal with a production rate of 25 tpd VDCM. The vents which are normally incinerated were being incinerated. The flow rate was measured and the vent showed no flow thus no chlorinated hydocarbon emissions. The Per/Tri Still Line Vent Scrubber was sampled at 11:00 a.m. on 7-23-84. The vent measured 11.5 ft3/roin flow rate. The water flow rate to the scrubber was 75 gal/min. The stack gas was analyzed for chlorinated hydrocarbons and showed <0.1% v/v for each component detected. This demonstrates a PMR of <5 tpy which is well within the 100 tpy limit.
