examination of 141 mmployees of the Canadian Johns
ville Co. Asbestos Que and 54 employees of the Asbestos
Corporatioonf Canadta he Mattison Co. and John-
son's Mine all of Thetford Mines Que
40 of the men of
the Canadian Manville Co. were examinaed by Dr. D. M.
Stevenson and Dr. Joseph Wyatt who performed the physical
examinations and ray examinations respectively The
other examinations were | all performed by me except the
ray examinations
Actually
examined 57 men but since 17
Drs Stevenson and of these men were
Wyatt
examined
by me I am including them in my list Drs Stevenson and
Wyatt carried on their work in November 1929. My exami-
nations were done in July 1930 in Asbestos and in September 1930 in Thetford Mines|

mon in Thetford Hines were over 40 years of age only 20
percent of the men in Asbestos were over 40.

marked hearing loss . This is a very high poroent-
ago and comparable to what may be found in werving shode and boiler shops All those men except tro had been exposed to loud noise in their work for 10
years or more m^it is reasonable to suppose that
noise played a part in their their hearing disability
The number of men with infected SILS
was 27 in Asbeston and 13 in in Thetford Hinos and almost indetical ratio to the total in both groups
Defects of the THYROID THYROID wore raro 4 mon in Asbestos and 1 in Thetford Thetford Mines had enlarged thyroids
BLOOD PRESSURE

incidence of pneumoconiosis in my group of mon may soon
surprising surprising but it must be remembered that the ray

the ray diagnoses were made by Dr. Kerimother of
Pitcher Oklahoma and in the other group the interpro-
tations were by Drs Wyatt and thaiwith
