Fuel Truck Driver for Benzene Exposure CO: Bruce Heinze Industrial Hygiene On July 25, 1988, the Louisiana Division fuel truck driver was monitored for benzene exposure using 3M 3500 badges. The results are as follows: CONTRACT DRIVER TIME (TWA) PPM BENZENE Joe Daigle 480 min. .0003 AREA Attached to truck 480 min. .001 The TWA (Time Weighted Average) exposure limit for benzene is 1 ppm. The driver wore no respiratory protection during this time but did stand upwind during times of loading and off-loading.
