The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the issues staff is encountering as part of new chemical reviews under T S C A Section 5. We believe there may be approaches in which we could work together to solve the many challenges that the Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics (OPPT) faces in implementing new T S C A while diminishing the significant problems that continue to occur. Sierra Club v. EPA 18cv3472 NDCA Tier 12 ED 002061 00046531-00001 In particular, we are specifically concerned with the ongoing commercial impacts resulting from assumptions about workplace practices that are overseen by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We believe a transparent and factual basis for E PA 's assumptions for new chemicals with workplace exposures will result in reduced EPA burdens, more consistent workplace exposure control requirements, and an overall stronger regulatory framework. We have several member company representatives traveling to Washington, D.C. on April 30, 2018, in hopes of meeting with you, Jeff Morris, Charlotte Bertrand, and Mark Hartman. KATHLEEN M.
