At the .present time, the Boat Insulation industry is composed of throe seczients, which, ores a) Heaters o' lhe Industrial Mineral Insulation Manufacturers Institute, <.nc* b} Members of the Magnesia-Silica Insulation Manufacturers association, c) Manufacturers jf heat insulation which are cambers of neither. 2* The effecr. of this segmentation is that no one trade association speaks as the voice of tho industry and there is a duplication of expense and effort by the . two existing associations without commensurate benefit to anyone* 3* It is known that various manufocturers of heat insulation,, which are not combers of either existing trace association, desire to join with others in trade association activities, but feel it i3 unduly expensive and ineffective to join two separate trade associations in the sene general field. 1;* A new trade association should bo organised with the none Heat Insulation . Manufacturers Association, or soue other siailar nemo waich er-hraces the entire industry, to which all manufacturers of heat insulation will be eligible for membership* . 5* In order to effectuate this, a Drafting Cocaittee of two representatives of this' Association, and two representatives of tho XHIHA should oo appointed new for the purpose of: a) Drafting a proposed Constitution and By-Laws* b) Crafting a grnsral cutl^na of a proposed program of activities* 6* This Drafting Co:iaittee should caaplste its work and report by mail to all member companies of both Associations by November 15, 1958* 7* The initial budget of the now Association should be designed so that the dues .> cost should not be substantially greater for any company than it presently * pays as a member of one of the two existing Associations* ' ( 3* The Board of lirector3 of the new Association should be designed to afford representation to all companies presently represented on the Boards of the two existing associations with duo allowance for the addition of representatives of manufacturers not now members of either association* 10.
