Gray C&P, Newark "KROLOR" FOR JAPANESE THERMOPLASTIC ROAD MARKINGS (Re: DWH to PAW, attached) We have an opportunity to participate in the Japanese thermoplastic road marking business if we can routinely supply dry blends of "Krolor" Yellow and Orange in ''L- 92%/8% ratios. Specifications for this business relate to masstone color, making use of low strength (substandard) "Krolor" Yellow a distinct possibility. Please comment on the feasibility of this opportunity as far as Newark is concerned: Can we reliably blend "Krolor" to color Uniformity at the ratios specified in M, W. Otf-s letter (attached)? Do we have blending capacity in 123 Bldg,, to produce 2QQM-'V 5Q0M pounds of this blend? Can we reliably control color using sub standard "Krolor" Yellow" What added costs might be expected from that blending operation? (Control Lab and Production labor). What technical effort would be required to develop thislend product? Assuming a positive response on this opportunity, how quickly could we prepare 100 kg of each color indicated in Ott's letter?
