Ha have completed the first phase of this program here at Clinton. This phase consisted of the following*
1. Identification of all employees and pensioners who might have bean exposed to asbestos dust levels as a result of their work assignment. Initially, this screening process consisted of present and former members of the site mechani cal and Service groups - shout SO people in all.
2. Xxaminatian of pertinent X-rays by the site phy
sician and by a board certified radiologist. Quastionable cases were reviewed by wilsdngten medical Division staff as- well.
1. Announcement to the site that Clinton was under taking an asbestos control medical program. In addition to the usual announcement format, a series of meetings was held with all wplcyees in the Mechanical and Service groups to better explain the program and answer questions. Copies of the publication package are attached as Appendix A.

Tbirtaen employees (eight exempt, one non-exeapt and four wage roll) and taro pena loners were identi fied as having, pulmonary abnormalities, such as pleural thickening, and those results were dis cussed with the affected employees. At the same time, the future medical program was outlined for the*, a list of these employees is attached as 'Appendix B.
5. further pleural evaluation of fourteen affected employees was dona at the University of Cincinnati Medical School. One of the pensioners declined to take part in further testing. A suaesary of the test program Is attached as Appendix C.
When results were available, the site physician reviewed them with the affected employees and
