Management Adds 19 Publications to Schedule and 8 Million More Circulation The success of the Household Guide idea in our new advertising and sales campaign was almost immediate. Man agers, representatives, agents and con sumers took hold of it even in its earliest stages and recognized that it filled a definite want. The first advertisement appeared in The Saturday Evening Post* as a double spread, September 15th. This issue came out on the stands the 13th. On the 14th the effect was already so pronounced that special meeting of the Board of Man ners was called and unanimous endorse ment given to a greatly increased appro priation. 3' This additional appropriation permits our adding immediately nineteen publi- <tfitions to the original advertising schedule Announced in August. It addsmeight ntil- m circidation to our previous circula tion. In other words, it clinches the guide proposition and makes our campaign with out question the greatest ever announced and carried through in the paint and varnish industry. Our revised magazine schedule now in gles the following publications: The Saturday Evening Post, The Literary Die*st, American Magazine, The Country Gentleman, Popular Science Monthly, Farm Journal, Good Housekeeping, Wo r m's World, Woman's Home Com panion, Delineator and Designer, Texas arm and Ranch, American Agricultur ist* Breeder's Gazette, Hoard's Dairyman, Farmer's Wife, Nebraska Farmer.
