Vi Chamberlain Virginia Vermiculite * Asbestos Report Date: December 20, 1979 Attached is a report I received from Virginia Vermiculite con- ; ceming samples they .submitted to the Walter C. McCrone Associates, Inc., Laboratory for asbestiform minerals determination. As you can see from.this report the laboratory could not find any asbesti- . form minerals in the three samples submitted. Virginia Vermiculite feels this again confirms their ore does not contain asbestos. I don't think we completely agree. Nevertheless, we have an ongoing program of sampling Virginia Vermiculite ore and submitting to this same laboratory for asbestos determination. We will shortly be sending in a new sample, and we will see what they come up with, and report accordingly.
