A Ammco grinder.
Q Does that process create any dust?
A Visible dust? I don't remember seeing any

Q Again, in 1964, when you became involved in
the developments of nonasbestos brake linings, why was
Ford looking toward nonasbestos brake linings at that
time?
A Trying to get better performing brake
linings.
Q Any other reason?
A No. There was a different reason starting
in mid '60s or something.
We had a member of the Board of Directors
that was CEO of Owens-Corning Fiberglas, and he wanted
to know why fiberglass wasn't used in the brake
linings. So we did a study to humor him.
