VENT 2006: The 8th International Conference Practical Applications of Ventilation for Emission and Exposure Control May 14-16, 2006 Don't Miss This Valuable Opportunity! AIHA is now accepting proposals for professional development courses (POCs) to be held Saturday and Sunday, May 13-14,2006, in conjunction with the 2006 American Industrial Hygiene Conference & Expo (AIHce) in Chicago, Illinois. The deadline for submissions is August 15, 2005. AIHce is also pleased to host Ventilation (VENT) 2006, which will run concurrently with AIHce 2006, May 14-16. POC submissions on ventilation topics are welcome and will appeal to both AIHce 2006 and VENT 2006 participants. Attendees of VENT 2006 and AIHce 2006 will have access to both conferences with their registration. Past and anticipated topics of interest for POCs include emergency response; nanotechnology; ventilation; mold; indoor environmental quality (IEQ); risk assessment; exposure assessment strategies; toxicology; safety; environmental; consulting; management; bioaerosols and biosafety/biotechnology; IH return on investment (ROI); and computer applications. All submissions must be made online by August 15, 2005. Presenters and students at the POCs in 2006 will earn certification maintenance (CM) points (CM), continuing education units (CEUs), and continuance of certification points (COCs) to obtain and maintain professional certifications.
