Sandstedt Manager of Environmental Engineering Tenneco Chemicals, Inc. Post Office Box 365 Piscataway, New Jersey 08854 Dear Mr. Sandstedt: SUBJECT: Tenneco Chemicals, Burlington Plant DRBC Docket No. D-75-66 This is in reply to your May 31, 1977, letter advising us that more stringent emission limitations may require the incineration of vinyl chloride in various exhaust streams and that incinerator stack scrubber wastewater will increase total dissolved solids in the plant effluent. You estimate that TDS concentrations will increase to about 400 mg/I. If your estimate of the TDS increase is correct, the effluent will continue to meet applicable standards and no further action by the Delaware River Basin Commission will be required. Sincerely, Herbert A. Howlett Chief Engineer COLORXTE 018604
