I have just returned frx

like to report to you that the
'case has been
settled. The total settlement was $fM4--,0,0C00, $3,000 of
which yias paid by the Maryland Casualty Company and
$1,000 as a contribution by Ethyl Gasoline Corpora-
tion. As a result of the settlement, Hubbard's widow
has executed a release to Orange State Oil Company,
Ethyl Gasoline Corporation and any and all other

the death of her husband,
Her
claim before the Florida Industrial Commission has
been withdrawn and a mutual release effected between
Orange State Oil Company, Maryland Casualty Company
and Ethyl Gasoline Corporation. Mrs.

release Of the $4-,000 paid, Mrs.
$3,500 and her attorney

Everyone seems to be satisfied with this settlement and relations very friendly between the representatives of the Maryland Casualty, Orange State and Ethyl.
While I was in Miami, I made inquiries as to whether or not anything had been heard from any other person^ involved in the tank cleaning. I was told that nothing had been heard and that they did not ex pect ariy other action in this connection.
