M. Brenner, UCB The report on solvent and lead status of solvent based products Issued by Mr. W. M. Tome on July 5, 1972 has been reviewed. Those additional formulas now showing a "o" under the solvent designation are being reviewed with the label supplier by Mr. R. M. Brenner to have the "GJ" imprinted on labels of the one gallon size or over. On those formulas designated "B", indicatln an exeunt formula is available, we will still wait for clearance from Mr. R. J. Haviland befoi'e putting the "GB" on the .label 00 that we have nssurance that all plants have converted to the exempt formula. On those formulas showing an "X" no action will be taken on the label until an exempt formula is available and notification is received from Mr. R. J. Haviland that the formula is now in use in all plants. A number of Y-Line products are scheduled for discontinuation on December 31; 1972 in addition to those so designated on Mr. Tome's listing. These additional codes are shown below so that no work need be done on these products unless specifically requested by the Sales Department. A number of recommendations concerning products which do not meet the 0.5$ lead limit were made' in Mr. Tome's bulletin. Direction will have to be provided by the Sales Department on these recommendations. Several products were marked that they would probably be dropped. Decisions on this type of product should be made known immediately and fit into this year's discontinua tion program since they will not be able to be transported interstate after January 1, 1975 There arc a few.other products which are not being discontinued and which do not meet the 0-5$ > lead limit. Direction will have to be also received from the Sales Department on the status of these items.
