Xehoe ' Kettering Laboratory College of Medicine University of Cincinnati Eden Avenue Cincinnati, Ohio Dear Dr. Xehoe: I am very grateful for your letter of April 16, regarding some of the results of your lead retention and excretion studies. Enclosed is a copy of a report concerning our work with lead-210 in which you indicated an interest. The report indicates the sensitivity of our analytical method and indicates at possible application to certain occupational hazards. This technique could readily be applied to animals in metabolic studies of lead, although lead-203 would probably be a better choice of isotope because of its shorter half-life. Very truly,-yours, Victor E. Archer, M. D. Laboratory of Physical Biology ' National Institute of Arthritis & Metabolic Diseases Enclosure K* 0019711
