It is the idea wall finish for industrial and commercial building interiors. A coat of Spray-Day-Lite has stepped up lighting efficiency as much as 102%. One coat equals conventional two coat results permitting a saving of from 40 to 50% in maintenance painting cost. Spray-Day-Lite provides smooth covering over grimy, dirty and badly discolored surfaces of concrete, tile, masonry, plaster, steel, stucco and wood. It produces very little fog or mist when sprayed. It la water-resistant and also resists add and alkali fumes. It contains rust Inhibitlve pigments and requires no primer, although It k very often used in conjunction with Liquid Red Lead Modified. Drying Time--18-24 hours--48 or more for recoating. Coverage--550-600 square feet per gallon--one coat. Application--Stir well before using. Surfaces to be finished should be scraped or wire brushed free from all rust, scale and looee paint. Also be sure to remove all dust, dirt, grease and oi] by washing if necessary. Drying Time--18 hours--36 or more for recoating. Coverage--650-600 square feet per gallon--one coat. Application--The surface to be primed must be dry, free from dirt, dust and grease and foreign matter. Apply full body tor brushing and reduce with turpentine or mineral spirits for spraying. Metal requires no previous etching with add and eliminates the peeling experienced with ordinary materials. Dries hard for re-coating overnight. Adhesion is better if application la in thin rather than heavy coats. Drying Time--Overnight--24 hours or more tor recoating. Coverage--550-600 square feet per gallon. Application--It is recommended the surface be first washed with a dilute muriatic acid solution and then rinsed thoroughly with clean water. Allow the surface to weather as long as Is practical. Apply one coat of Glidtita Galvanized bon Primer full body as reorfved. Apply paint selected for finishing not more than 72 hours after the Clidtite Galvanized Iron Primer has been applied. Recommended for pipe identification, machinery, concrete, brick, wood, trucks, tractors, etc. Drying Time--4-6 hours -- 24 for recosting. Coverage--400-600 square feet per gallon--one coat. Application--Old Painted Surface*--Remove all loose paint, rust and other irregularities. Clean surface with soap and water. Wipe dry and allow sufficient time for moisture to thoroughly evaporate. One coat will be found sufficient where conditions are normal, though two coats produce a beautiful gloss and depth of finish. New Unpainted Surfacee--All surfaces should be dry and clean and should be sandpapered to a smooth surface. It dries to recoat In 24 hours, possesses unusual opacity, works easily under the brush, flows out free from all brush marks and requires but a very light sanding. Because of its unusual sealing properties there is no absorption of succeeding coats of enamel and they stand out with a maximum ol luster and depth of gloss. It can be water sanded to a beautiful eggshell. Drying Time--12-18 hours--24 for recoating. Corerage--600-600 square feet per gallon. Application--Stir well before using. Old Painted Surfaces--Gliddencoat is required only on enamel jobs calling for a distinct odor change from dark to lighter shades. Apply one or two coats as may be required to produce necessary opaqueness. Allow twelve home drying time. Sand last coat lightly before applying enamel. New Unpainted Surfaces--Apply two coats to new wood that is properly sanded and perfectly dry. The first coat should be reduced about 10% with turpentine, allowed to dry overnight, then follow with a second cost applied full body. Second coat should dry about 12 hours then apply enamel in color selected. The ingredients are the finest in pigment and oil combination to produce self cleaning properties and durability. Made in White, Cream, Tobacco Brown, light Gray, Medium Gray, Drying Time--24 hours--48 hours for recoating. Corerage--Approximately 700 to 760 square feet per gallon--one coat. Application--Star thoroughly before using. Old Painted Surfaces--Remove loose paint, scales, blisters and dirt. Surface must be dry. All bar* wood should receive a coat of Glidden Exterior Base Coat, or paint reduced as for new surfaces. Second Coat--Add small amount of turpentine. Third Coat--Apply paint as received, full body. New Unpainted Surfaces--Use Glidden Exterior Base Coat for priming. If not availablejirooeed as follows; For yellow pine or cypress, add 1 pint raw linseed oil and two pints turpentine to a gallon of paint. For white pine, fir and soft woods, add l quart raw linseed oil and 1 pint turpentine to a gallon of paint. Allow to dry three days or longer. Second Coat--Add one pint turpentine to a gallon of print. Allow to dry three days or longer. Old Painted Surfaces--Remove loose print by scraping, wire brushing or burning off where necessary. Be sure the surface is perfectly dry. Apply Base Coat to all sections that have become bared by blistering, sealing or peeling and to the entire surface if the da print to porous, chalking and badly weathered. They are sufficiently elastic not to chip or crack even on bending the metal on which applied. Furnished only In a low gloss so that they will not intensify irregularities in the metal. It dries with a beautiful semi-gloss and it at satisfactory for woodwork and furniture aa for wall decora* tion. Its hard, closely knit film permits easy and repeated washing, while its soft pleasing gloss imparts no strong light refleetions or glare. Drying Time--18 hours--24 or more for recoating. Coverage--600-660 square feet per gallon--one coat. Application--Stir thoroughly with a lifting motion. On Platter Surface*--Be sure surface is dry and free from dirt, grease and loose particles. All new plaster or cement walls that show indication of alkali or active lime after testing with Phenolphthsline should be given a wash eoat ot Zme Sulphate solution (two pounds of Commercial Zinc Sulphate dissolved in one gallon water). Old Painted Surface*--Watt*--ll old paint has become porous and worn with age and repeated washings, apply a eoat of Glidden Interior Base Coat and then proceed as recommended for New Unpainted Surfaces. If old paint ts in good condition, one coat of Semi-gloss is often sufficient. If two coats are considered necessary, apply a first coat of Semi-doss mixed with equal parts of GUdden Interior Base Coat. Allow this to dry then apply a coat of Semi-glees as It comes from the can. Proper Mending and the select grade of ingredients, account for the extra long wearing quality and unusual hiding power and covering capacity. This paint dries to a beautiful smooth finish. Viewed toward light there is a slight sheen--deeirsble because it permits easy washing, but with no more sheen than is permissible in the best Flat Wall Paint. Drying Time--Dries to touch in 30 minutes, and a second coat may be applied after a drying period of 12 hours under proper ventila tion and good drying conditions. Remove polishes, wax or grease by washing with turpen tine. When washing cement with Zine-Sutpbate, allow to dry thoroughly before painting. Inside Floor* and Dados--Reduce the first coat 10% with turpentine. Allow to dry overnight, then apply second coat as R cornea from the can. Cement Surface*--If cement is new, wash with a solution of two pounds of tine sulphate to a gallon of water to neutralise alkali in cement. Reduce first coat slightly with turpentine. It is highly resistant to acids, alkali, moisture, severe fume conditions, oil and grease. It is the perfect finish for concrete floors and interior masonry surfaces. PII-Namel resists water and the action of alkalies in the concrete. It has good resistance to abrasion, good adhesion and is sufficiently bard to resist wear. It is an anti-corrosive, and protects against the deterioration erf metal. Drying Tint--Sets in 30 minutes and dries firm overnight. Coverage--400-600 square feet per gallon--one coat. Application--For Concrete--Remove oil and grease with alkaline cleanser or steam. Then etch with Sani Flush, applying powder to wet floor by shaking it directly from can; or, a solution of one quart muriatic acid and three quarts of water. Flush with dear water to remove any excess Sani Flush or add. Thin first coat Pli-Namel 10% with pure turpentine to increase penetration. Apply second coat full body after first coat is thoroughly dried. Under good drying conditions allow second coat to dry 48 hours before the floor is subjected to severe wear. For Metal--Surface must be clean and dry. Wire brush or chip corroded metal. Apply primer coat of No. 1625 Chromate Primer. This base coat will insure good adhesion; allow to dry before applying PIl-Namel. Then apply PU-Namel full body. Do not use Pli-Namel on surfaces subjected to high beat. Application-- 1. Sand wood thoroughly and dust before applying Wood Bleach. 2. Apply a wet coat of Wood Bleach with a small mop, dean soft rag, cotton waste. 8. Allow Wood Bleach to dry thoroughly (not less than 12 hours) sand lightly and follow with desired finish.
