Crystal Penman can work with you on a time. I will warn you that it sounds like the city's request is at the extreme margins of what is permissible from he CWA's SRF. I will have my expert in the meeting as well to see where some flexibility might be possible. I have an issue I was hoping you could help me with. I represent the City of Houston, The City applied to the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) for a $46 million loan, which it then would give to the Harris County Flood Control District to expedite a longdelayed flood control project. The City would be on the hook to pay back the loan, but would hope to be reimbursed by the County as it receives funding from the Army Corps of Engineers. I've sent you some background, but the gist is that ERA staff told the TWDB that constructing/modifying a bridge to allow for a channel widening is not an eligible activity. The City of Houston has articulated how the project will address water quality in light of the impact of flooding on the sanitary sewer system. This project has a lot of support as is indicated in the attached press release. Would you he willing to meet with folks from the City of Houston to discuss the application and what if anything we can do to address staffs concerns? I could convene a group the week of July 24 if that works for you. Thanks so much and look forward to seeing you. Best, Susan Susan H.
