NEW YORK, JANUARY 11, i960 - Jules F. Boand, a retired general superintendent of the Chicago Branch plants of National Lead Company, died at Chicago, Illinois, on January 9*
Mr. Boand had completed 41 years of service to National Lead Company at the time of his retirement in 1958. He began his company career in 1914 as an engineer with the Carter White Lead Company, a National Lead Company subsidiary. In 1935 he was appointed plant superintendent and in 1937, assistant manager at the Carter plant. In 1938 he became general superintendent at the three Chicago Branch plants. He retired from his position at the Chicago Branch in 1958.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ella V. Boand, two daughters, Mrs. Jane Ballantine, and Miss Joan Boand, and a son, Jules F. Boand, Jr.
