OPERATION: . 1. The brake shoe packages (boxes) must be carefully opened and - vacuumed for removal of loose particles and particulate . materials. . 2. Vendor salvage items must be carefully repacked in the same type container which has an Intact plastic lining and can be scaled for safe handling. fC 3. . Scrap pieces or parts must be carefully packed^ in the same type of comparable plastic lined container which can be scaled for handling and disposed of by burying without dissipation of any particulate materials. ^ 4. Warning labels must be affixed to each box of asbestos . containing materials, scrap, waste, debris'etc. .. . . 5. The work table, tools and area must be kept clean at all times by vacuuming into a.retaining receptacle. DO NOT BRUSH OR BLOW OFF 111 ` 6. The sizing grinder, shields, air scoops and collecting filter unit must be maintained within prescribed suction, air seal and filtration standards. 7. All servicing and maintenance employees must wear approved . respirators and follow approved health and safety precautions. ` 8. The collecting filter must be emptied directly into a plastic bag supported by its disposal box. 9. The plastic bag must be held in place by dust proof retainer ring. 10. The plastic, bag muBt then be properly tied and sealed in the disposal box. 11. The disposal box must be properly labeled, transported to the land fill site and covered in the prescribed way.
