Now in regard to the more unpleasant affair over which I have been giving considerable thought, especially since looking over your last communication. It looks as though a nasty feud would certainly be the outcome if we pursue the course that yoh have suggested.
I have neither seen nor heard from Phil since you were here, and furthermore I do not propose to give him the satisfaction of contacting him and asking him for an ex planation concerning his peculiar behavior.
Personally, Bill, I feel the wise thing to do at this time is to allow it to take its own course without any inter ference and then putting on the "heat" at a later date. Regardless of the good intentions that you or I might have they will, most likely, be misconstrued and someone will be put on the spot, so, in view of this, it is my wish and I hope that you can concur with me for the time being that you request Morris Pishbein to pigeon-hole your letter and permit things to return to a status quo. If I was convinced for a moment that we could have an amicable understanding with our friend as to the proposed changes, I would not hesitate to ur^e you to continue in the manner that we had de cided upon.
