I don't really have enough detail (or the Fudan contract) to give you an opinion on an inflation/exchange rate adjustment. At first glance, the patient fees, if fixed, should not be arbitrarily adjusted, but we would probably pay the current value in USD for the local fee. Prof Liang's airfare shd be invoiced in current USD, not adjusted 2001 USD. I'd need to learn more about the contract and related discussions with Fudan.
