GP 10-1 1. i a/ .. - V ^ *=_ ' INTERDEPARTMENTAL COMMUNICATION DATE: 5/28/70 FROM: Mr. T. W. Richards E. L. Hay location: Portland location: Fort Dodge SUBJECT: 0E_D/\Y JOINT CEMENT cc: Mr. C. W. Lehnert - Tigard Mr. J. B. Moss - Tigard Mr. R. W. Nielsen - Fort Dodge PLAINTIFF'S EXHIBIT Per your letter of May 25, we have dumped our inventory of old one-day joint cement. We have the following joint cement in Johns-Manvi11e bags: PRODUCT QUANTITY-In Baqs 25# Bedding Compound ""2BT ----- #1 Joint System 103 25# All Purpose Cement 48 25# Joint Cement 132 25# Topping Compound 25 25ii Laminating Compound 135 Total - F5T We have tried to reduce our inventory on the Johns-Manvi11e and as you can see on the above have reduced greatly the number of types carried. I would think that we could continue to accept orders for those items that we have and try to move them out at regular price. The only items above that we may have a problem on would be the first and the last items. On the last item we can use this up for manufacturing of laminated core board. Please advise if Mr. Fatz will advise Johns-Manvi11e on the deletion of Johns-Manvi11e joint cement material from our plant. Our experience has been that it is unprofitable for us to handle joint cement for either Johns-Manvi11e or Georgia-Pacific. E. L. H. ELH:ms SGP 0015873
