If it does not have a gauge on it to monitor the pressure, put one. 5.0 Procedure: 5.1 Ground the recovery trailer to an I-beam, and the direct burn tank to the recovery trailer. 5.2 Hook up a 2 inch flex hose from the recovery trailer to the 3 inch valve on the side (close to the top) of the direct burn tank. The Controlled Version Is Maintained In File: Page 1 of 2 DO A 059331 CONFIDENTIAL 5.3 Remove the plug on the 1/2 inch valve on top of the direct burn tank and open it slowly to bleed off any pressure that may be present. 5.0 Procedure: Cont'd. 5.4 Very slowly begin pressuring the contents from the recovery trailer into the direct burn tank with nitrogen. 5.5 Monitor the pressure on the direct burn tank, do not let the pressureexceed 15 pounds. 5.6 Once the flex hose begins jumping, immediately block in the nitrogen to the recovery trailer. 5.7 When pressure is off the waste trailer and direct burn tank, close the 3 inch valve on the burn tank. 5.8 Open bleed on recovery trailer and begin disconnecting the flex hose. 5.9 Replace blind flange on the 3 inch valve on burn tank. 5.10 Close 1/2 inch bleed on top of tank and replace plug. 5.11 Take ground wires off. 5.12 Label tank, call extension 1860 if any questions on type of label needed.
