SPEClAL DUST SURVEY
TRANSITE PIPE FIELD OPRATIONS
Persona"! dust sa1r:ples on several field operations that are perfomed on TRANSITE pipe have been re-tested. Samples taken on April 10, 1972 were obtained outside between PD #1 Building and Nevl Business Building. Strong drafts were present b1owing dust av~ay from the operator.
Due to rain, those taken on April 13, 1972 were inside the walkway connecting PO #1 and PD #2. The large doors on both sides of the walkway ,1ere opened and a moderate draft was blowing away from the
operator.
Bob Anderson performed the operations and Joe Macko and Tom Bordas conducted the samp1ing.
Pipes used for testing viere 4 in. Telephone Duct, 6 in. CL150 Hater Pipe and 8 in. CL2400 Sewer Pipe. A11 samp1es were of 20 minute duration. The test results are as fo11ows:
