Dear Al:
It is with sincere regret that we have accepted your resignation from S & K. When we acquired the operation neither of us could have anticipated the future changes that were to take place. Personally, I believe we both may have had stars in our eyes and they were not opened up to the possibilities;
The acquisition of Victor by Dana has changed our corporate goals with regards to the future. Although S & K will be a vital and ' important part of the Victor division operations, it is obvious that our long range goals will be to confine ourselves to being a supplier to the Parent Company. Therefore, your decision is in all probability a very wise one.
I trust your leaving our company will in no way dim the spirit of friendship you and I have had over a period of years. Whenever you are in Chicago or plan to pass through, let me know so we can get together for lunch, dinner, etc.
With best wishes for your success, I remain.
Sincerely yours,
R. M. Burns P.S
We appreciate the "old pro", that is you, helping us out on our recent problem on 6222.
