The meeting convened at 3:00 p.m.

OLD BUSINESS The committee reviewed open items from the meeting of
August 31, 1984 with the following items having been completed or disposed of as indicated:
Item 8-2: Elevator Permit for 1984-85 has been received and posted.
Item 8-6:
Glasses inserts for Scott Air Pak masks are being evaluated for adequacy.
Item 8-19: An overall industrial hygiene evaluation of the DCU is to be made in October.
Item 8-20: This item under consideration and being evaluated.
Item 8-21: Personal H-S monitors are available and can be obtained by contacting foremen of Units or Zones.
Answers to the general questions that were asked by the
Union representatives in the August 31st meeting are as
follows:
.
1. First Aid Training has not started at this time and
will not be scheduled until 1985.
2. No target date has been set for completion of covering exposed asbestos within the plant and it
is an ongoing program. At the present time there are four employes working on this job.
3. Supervision and employes have been instructed not to use any plankings that are not correctly marked as concerns inspection.
4. The off-shift fire company consists of two shift , foremen, one acting as Fire Marshal, the other as
Captain, one Operator from the Boiler House, one

operator from each unit that is not effected and two to three personnel from RP&S, This would constitute a minimum crew of 7. Additional personnel could.come from any Maintenance personnel if in the plant or others working in the plant. There is no Industry standards or rules of thumb on this subject that is known.
5. MSDS Books are available for each unit in Control
Rooms and also foremen have copies and are available to all' employes,"' '
