Reference is also made to a con ference held September 5, 1947 between representatives of your Company and representstires of this Administration. Both are related to the utilization of Power Plant N0. lf Plancor 264, Lake Charles, Louisiana. As discussed at the above mentioned conference. your Company interposes no objection to continuing the present supply of standby power service to Cities Service Refining Corporation through October 31, 1947. This Administration is in receipt of a formal request dated September 2, 1947 from the Cities Service Refining Corporation which states that it desires the above mentioned service to be extended until Octo ber 31, 1947. You are hereby authorized to extend the contract under -which your Company is supplying service to the Cities Service Refining Corporation until October 31, 1947 under the same terms and conditions as authorized by this Administra tion^ letter to you dated July 18, 1947* Your letter of September 4, 1947 set forth the terms and conditions under which your Company would sell for the ac count of this Administration any surplus power available at Power Plant No. 1. These terms and condilions involve a three party standby and power pooling arrangement between your Company, the Cities Service Refining Corporation and the Gulf States Utilities Company. Consideration is being given to this proposal and ad vice trill be forwarded at the earliest possible date as to the position tvhich this Administration trill take with respect thereto.
