Dear Friend to animals,
As our highly-valued supporter, you're among the first to know about our shocking new investigation into elephants used to entertain tourists.
Our digital report, Taken for a ride' describes how more than 3S000 elephants are cruelly used as entertainers in Asia, and sadly this number is rising. Most of these animals are kept in awful conditions and experience endless suffering.
You can help them now. Please Unite for the herd by sharing the report.

Tell your friends about the facts, and help them make better choices for wildlife when travelling.
Horrifying evidence
The report is the result of our anonymous investigation of 220 elephant tourist attractions across Asia between 2014 and 2018.
We uncovered horrifying evidence:
A growing industry: there are more than 3,000 captive elephants in tourism in Asia. Most are in Thailand, where there's been a 30% increase in just five years
Entertainment over welfare: all venues with poor and unacceptable living conditions offer elephant rides
Hub for cruelty: around three quarters of the 220 elephant tourist attractions we studied were in Thailand
The trauma begins when baby elephants are stolen from their mothers shortly after birth. They're brutally `trained', and often hit with hooks or other tools, to become submissive enough to give rides and perform tricks.
After this disturbing and painful process, elephants begin their miserable lives as tourist entertainers.
How we can move the world to protect animals
By making tourists aware of the facts in our report, we can help change the world for elephants.

Please share our report with your friends now, and unite for the herd. Together, we can march towards a better future for elephants.
Sincerely, Priscilla Ma, US Executive Director World Animal Protection
