The subject suggestion was resubmitted 1-8-74 and we wquld appreciate forwarding an award to Mr, Bertram in the near future. Our effectiveness has been marginal in terms of cleaning brake assemblies and leads us to conclude that unique brushs, hoses and/or other attachment would probably improve the performance. Upon receipt of Mr. Knauss' memo, we are taking the appropriate steps to/ properly identify the current unit being used for this purpose, al grecautionary measures are also in place, particularly in removing ;he vacuum unit. Doyle, who is our Rotunda supplier, and both the retrieval characteristics and catcher bag integrity of the Rotunda cleaners were reviewed. Mr. Doyle will research these areas and submit recommendations that could be incorporated into the Rotunda Vacuum Gleaner product line. It would be appreciated if any testing data you have been able to accumulate through your in--house efforts be forwarded to Mr. Rice for possible incorpora tion with Mr. Doyle1s efforts. 0. M.
