Genetti 359*3 JANUARY 09, 1992 VOM TANK FARM COMPRESSOR UPGRADE CLASS "A1' DESIGN FINAL ISSUE VISIA Attached is the final issue of the VCM Tank Farm Compressor Upgrade Class "A" Design. This project will install instrumentation at the VCM tank farm compressor shed for safer operation of the Corken compressors during VCM unloading. All new and some existing instrumentation will be tied into the DCS. The necessary software can be easily developed to provide the interlocks and other functions required for operating the compressors within their design constraints. Performing the compressor shut down logic in the DCS will allow the operator to easily identify the problem in the event of a shutdown. A drain line on the compressor header will be installed. This drain will be used to eliminate liquid in the compressor header before the compressors are started each time.
